Pittsburgh, PA (January 6, 2004) - Zaxel shipped a video recorder that can capture and play back 6 gigabits of data. The recorder can capture 4 HDSDI streams synchronously and play back 4 HDSDI streams synchronously. This allows you to capture uncompressed video streams from 4000 by 2000 pixel camera directly to the server, edit video in the server using Adobe After Effects, and playback to 4000 by 2000 pixel projector.

Since 4K resolution is adopted as the video standard for digital cinema by DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative), there are a number of activities to develop 4K projection systems.
